Adopt a Maker Product Development: Ideation to Creation!

Last year Louisa Ulrich-Verderber was awarded a $5000 Product Development Voucher/CMF Adopt a Maker Award to create a new wind generator influenced by The Netherland’s engineer artists; James Schenck, was awarded a $2500 Product Development Voucher/Adopt a Maker Project Award to develop a robotic arm for roadside and challenging mowing; and Albert Echt was awarded a $2500 Product Development Voucher/Adopt a Maker Project Award to create an electric bike utilizing the latest in battery technologies. CMF ArtDuino Maker Camps Return

What: CMF partnership with Green Mountain Performing Arts in Waterbury Champlain Maker Faire in teaming up with Green Mountain Performing Arts to merge making and performing arts. Week long camps include Robots with R4K2 June 27-July 1 9:00 am – 12:30 ages 7-10; Drone and Flight with Northern Drones June 27-July 1 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm ages 9-12, and E-wearables with Cynthia Day July 25 – 29 9:00 am – 12:30 pm ages 6-8 and Advanced E-wearables July 25 – 29 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm ages 9-11. Rutland Maker Faire

Where: Downtown Rutland
What: The second annual Rutland Maker Faire is about to kick off for July 30 in downtown Rutland. The fair greatly increased attendance of the annual Side Walk Sale Days. Maker Places Conference 2016

Champlain Mini Maker Faire

What: A Maker Faire brings together families and individuals to celebrate the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset and showcase all kinds of incredible projects. At the Champlain Mini Maker Faire, you’ll find arts and crafts, science and engineering, food and music, fire and water but what makes this event special is that all these interesting projects and smart, creative people belong together. Aiken K-12 Maker Faire

Where: UVM’s Davis Center
